No. 21 Texas Tech (3-1) lost in its quarterfinal matchup on Monday at the Maui Jim Maui Invitational at Lahaina, Hawaii, but has little time to lick its wounds. On Tuesday, the Red Raiders take on Louisville (0-4) in a consolation bracket semifinal at the Lahaina Civic Center. Texas Tech has played in the last four NCAA tournaments, reaching the Sweet 16 last spring. The Cardinals have lost their last five games dating back to last year’s ACC tournament and haven’t played in the postseason since the 2019 NCAA tourney. Mark Adams is in his second season as head coach at Texas Tech and is 30-11 in that span. First-year coach Kenny Payne is still looking for his first win at Louisville.
